TIKIWHATA NEWS
SUCCESSFUL DANCE SCHOOL FUNDS INCREASED (Herald Correspondent.) A very successful dance, organised by the school committee in aid of the school funds, was held in Tikiwhata. The hall was prettily decorated with streamers.
A dainty savoury supper was served by the ladies’ committee, Mesdames Brown, Johnson. Craig. Andrews, O’Brien and Brosnuhan. Mr. J. Otcnc’s orchestra supplied the music, assisted by Mr. J. Coutts on the pianoaccordion.
A competition drawn during the evening was won by Mr. T. Callaghan, and the spot waltz by Air. A. Macdonald and Miss Williams.

Breingan, floral georgette; Mrs. B. O'Brien, cire taffeta; Airs. O. Wellington, black crepe; Mrs. Hines, ivory taffeta; Mrs. J. Moody, black panne velvet and gold coatee; Mrs. H. Fuller, pink crepe de chine; Mrs. W. Pryde, blue taffeta; Mrs. S. Wellington, flame sand crepe; Mrs. W. Johnson, apricot sand crepe; Mrs. Barclay, maroon velvet; Mrs. Devery, black satin; Mrs. Brosnahan, London tan embossed marocain; Mrs. Devery, black velvet; Mrs. McKissick, tangerine georgette; Mrs. Worsfold (iParitu), black satin and lace; Mrs. Woodney (Paritu), pink crepe; Mrs. Ropitini, mustard crepe; Mrs. Arthur, brown lace. Miss M. White chose a frock of black georgette; Miss D. Devery, green taffeta; Miss A. Kerr, lemon taffeta; Aliss F. Warner, lemon crinkle taffeta; Miss E. Smith, floral georgette.
