BURGLARY CHARGE
. MAORI REMANDED WHISKY THEFT ALLEGED (Special to t.lio ITerald.) WAIROA, this day. Charged with breaking and entering by night the warehouse of the Wairo'a Harbour Board at Waikokopu and stealing one case of whisky, valued at £C, the property of the Wairoa Harbour Board. Tawa Maru, a Maori, who appeared in the Wairoa Police Court yesterday before Mr. O. A. Jonson, J.P., was remanded to appear on November 22. Application for the remand was made by Sergeant D. Clark, who stated that the accused was arrested the previous evening. Further inquiries were to be made. Bail was allowed in the sum of Cl 00. with one surety of a similar amount.
