WAIROA QUEEN CARNIVAL (Special [o the Herald.) WAIROA, this day. The leadership of the Wairoa queen carnival changed hands yesterday. when the P.W.D. committee paid in a sum that placed its candidate in the lead. With the re-kindling of interest in tlie Maori candidate, it is expected that some alteration in her position will be made soon. The following is the position of the candidates:— P.W.D., Miss K. Foley, 13.440 Citizens, Miss V. Marker, 12.960 County, Miss D. Delaney, 12,000 Maori, Miss I. Macgregor, 1797
