GUILD SALE OF WORK (Humid Correspondunt.) A very successful sale of work was held by the Presbyterian Ladies’ Guild recently. Those in charge of the stalls were:— Cakes, Mesdames C. Cunningham and G: Knox; jumble, Mesdames P. Kay and J. Lindsay; sewing, Mesdames K. Mackay and A. Hibbert; produce, Mesdames W. King and W. Nevin; afternoon tea, Mesdames S. Doig and J. J. Roberts, and Miss B. Doig. Red Cross “Bring and Buy”
Organised by Mesdames W. Collins and P. Wilson, who were assisted by members of the East Coast branch of the Red Cross Society, a profitable “bring and buy” was held at the residence of Mrs. Collins, on Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. A. Adams, who have been the guests of Mrs. M. Corbett, have returned to Napier.—Miss N. Quintal is on a holiday visit to Auckland.
iMr. C. Dorset, Inglewood, has taken Mr. J. Griffiths’ place at the Bank of New Zealand, Mr. S. Duncan, Gisborne, taking Mr. W. Su’herland's. Mr. A. W. Mudgway lias been transferred from Tauranga to the Tokomaru Bay Post Office, filling the place of Mr. Pettigrew, who has left for camp.
