KEEN TO JOIN NAVY
BOYS OF THE EMPIRE SEA SPIRIT OF YOUTH Boys from all parts of the British Empire want to join the Royal Navy. A British boy, aged 18 years, living at Istanbul, Turkey, 'is one of thousands from all corners of Hie world who are anxious to join. He is so eager to serve that he wrote: “Failing receipt of a reply within a fortnight, I will stow away in a ship." He addressed hi? application to "The First Lord of the Admiralty for the British Empire.’' Another letter has been (received from CofT’s Harbour. New South Wales. It was written by a boy aged 1G years, who begged that he might be allowed to join the Royal Navy, as he was still several months too voting for entry into the Royal Australian Navy. It is stated that these letters are fvojral, na t, only of the spirit of the British youth to-day, but of the widespread appeal of the Navy.
