MAORI FOR TRIAL
BAG-SNATCHING CHARGE (Pur Press Association.) AUCKLAND, last night. Pleading guilty to stealing a handbag containing £9 and various articles from the handbag of Alice Kelsey, a visitor from Wellington, and stealing a handbag containing £4 and various articles from Dora Jane Slade, a Maori, Charles Howard, aged 22, was committed to the Supreme Court for trial.
The evidence showed the bags were stolen in a city street and the Domain Drive respectively.
