LEGAL OPINION AWAITED MINISTER’S STATEMENT (Special to the Herald.) WELLINGTON, this day. Questioned regarding the Government’s intentions to investigate the sinking of the fishing launch Dolphin by a Lyttelton fort gun, the Minister of Defence, the Hon. F. Jones, stated that he had referred all the papers to the Solicitor-General for an opinion. When his report was received, consideration would be given to the question of taking further action.
