PLACINGS REVERSED

AVONDALE EVENT (l’er I’msn Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. Following the running of the Nihotupu Hack Handicap at Avondale on Saturday, an inquiry was- held into alleged interference with Royal Tray, who finished third, by the second horse, Bronze Step. After hearing evidence the stewards decided to reverse the placings, Royal Tray taking second place to Royal Message, the winner, with Bronze Step third. The stewards added that the interference was in no way due to careless riding on the part of Bronze Step’s jockey, V. Gollop.
