KILLED IN ACTION
PILOT FROM ELTHAM ROYAL AIR FORCE (P«r Pross Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, this day. Advice was received from the Air Ministry in London yesterday that Flying Officer Desmond Charles Carter, a son of Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Carter, of Eltham, had been killed in action. Flying Officer Carter joined the Royal Air Force in December of 1937 and was a member of the fighter squadron. He was 27 years of age.
