NEW EIRE BUDGET (Reed. Nov. 10, 9 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 9. The Eire emergency Budget, introduced yesterday, included an increase of Is on income tax for 1940, making the standard rate Gs Gd. The sugar tax was increased by if cl per lb. Estate, beer, spirits and tobacco Aities also were increased. Mr. Sean O’Kelly, in introducing the Budget in the Dail, said the increases were necessary owing to the falling revenue. He said that measures had been adopted to preserve Eire's neutrality in the European war.
