WAJAPU DEFENCE CLUB COUNTRY BEAT TOWN (Herald Correspondent.) The Wainpu Defence Rifle Club held its annual match, Town v. Country, last week-end. The weather was fine, but a gusty cross wind and bad light were against high scoring. Tiie conditions were seven shots ai 200, 300 and 500yds., with two optional sighters, but owing to some of the members being unable to shoot at file 200yds. range the match was decided on the remaining distances, Country being the winners by 410 to 391.
