CRICKET IN WAIROA ROVERS DEFEAT NOMADS SWIFTS BEAT RETAILERS (Special to the Herald.) WAIROA, this day.

Outright victories by Swifts and Rovers over Retailers and Nomads respectively was the feature of the play in ihc Wairoa Cricket Association’s Hopper Shield competition on Saturday. LOW SCORING MATCH Low scoring was the order of the day in the match between Nomads and Rovers. Having first use of the wicket, Nomads were dismissed for only 35 runs, but Rovers, in their nitial appearance at the crease, fared even worse, the whole side being dismissed for 17.
