DERBY STAKES DAY KT. COMMANDER’S WIN (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. The Canterbury Jockey Club’s races were continued at Riccarton to-day in fine weather. There was a large attendance. 'The track was fast. Results:— Middleton Handicap, of £250; 9 fur-longs.—4-4 Knight Commander, 10.4 (P. Burgess), 1; 1-1 Chirp, 10.10 (A. E. Ellis). 2; 2-2 Dranoel, 9.8 (R. J. Mackie), 3. Scratched: Schoolgirl. A length; six lengths Time, 1.52 3-5.
