CALLED TO CAMP

FIRST ECHELON GAPS GISBORNE VOLUNTEERS FIVE MEN LEAVE NOV. 13 Five volunteers for the Special New Zealand Military Force have been called up from the Gisborne list to fill gaps in the ranks of the First Echelon, and will proceed to camp on November 13, reporting at their respective destinations on the following day. The list comprises. Second Rifle Battalion Crump. Norman, single, 21 years. Tolaga Bay. La Hood, Frederick Thomas, single. 21 years, Bartletts. Reserve Motor Transport Company Green, Lancelot Foster, single. 25 years, Frasertown. Divisional Petrol Company Littler, Harold, single, 24 years. Gisborne. Foster, Charles Ben, single. 35 years, Te Karaka. 1 Commissioned officers accepted for service with the Second Echelon will leave Gisborne to-morrow for Trentham, tlie party comprising Captains J. W. Bain and W. Bourkc, and Lieutenants K. R. Crarcr and 11. W. Robins. The last-named is to join the Divisional Signal Corps, and the other three mentioned arc to have posts in tlie Rifle Battalion.

A fourth Gisborne officer, Lieutenant G. M. Beaumont, will follow the draft next week, to take a post with the New Zealand Artillery, training at Ngaruawahia.
