The half-yearly returns of Canada’s mineral output emphasise how valuable a source of supply this Dominion will be for the Allies’ mineral requirements. The record standard of gold production attained in 1938 is likely to be surpassed. This year’s Canadian wheat crop, which up to October 27 totalled 349,984.502 bushels, all of high grade, is one of the four largest in Canadian history.
