FAULT AT ARAPUNI WIDE AREA AFFECTED (Per Truss Association.) AUCKLAND this day. Every electrical service between the Arapuni power station and North Auckland was paralysed for 11 minutes late yesterday afternoon, A fault occurred .in one of the main line oil switches in the power station at 4.33 p.m., causing an absolute shutdown on the power supply to the Waikato, Auckland, and the Far North. The disruption occurred at a time when milking was in progress on farms throughout the province, machines being temporarily of no use. Hand-milking became necessary until power came on again.
