DEATH OF FARMER
TRACTOR OVER BANK VICTIM PINNED BENEATH A fatality occurred on a farm in the Ngakuru settlement, 14 miles from Rotorua, on Thursday, when a farmer lost his life while ploughing with a tractor. The victim was: — Archibald Wallace, aged 23, single, san of Mr, and Mrs. Thomas Archibald Wallace.
The accident was discovered by Mr. Wallace, sen., when lie found that the tractor, which his son had been driving, had fallen over a 13ft. bank into a crec-k. The tractor was lying upside down in about 3ft. of water, Hie body of the victim being pinned underneath.
It was only with considerable difficulty that the heavy tractor could be raised to release the body.
