MULTIPLYING OUTPUT ADDITIONAL PLANT (Rocd Nov. 3, 11.15 a.m.) SYDNEY, Nov. 3. Sir Frederick Stewart, the acting Minister of Supply, stated last night that next year’s production of heavy machine-guns at the Lithgow small arms factory', New South Wales, will be eight times that of 1938
He pointed out that a portion of the needs of two other Dominions would be met at this factory, where the sum of nearly £2,000,000 was being spent on additional plant and extensions, giving employment to 800 skilled tradesmen.
