COAL STRIKE FEARED
ENGINEERING WORKERS OBJECTION TO AWARD (Reed Now 2. 2.50 p.m.) NEWCASTLE,' Nov. 2. A general stoppage of coal production in New South Wales is feared as a result of a decision of aggregate meetings of colliery members of the Amalgamated Engineering Union on the northern coalfields to cease work immediately as a protest against the provisions of the new Federal award for the coal industry.
