POSTS IN CABINET AIM OF NEUTRALITY DRIFT FROM AXIS (Elec, Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. Nov 1. 2.30 p.m.) LONDON. Oct. 31. The Rome correspondent of the British United Press states that the reshuffle of the Italian Cabinet appears to strengthen Italy's neutrality. The new Ministers arc all experts and well suited to the vigorous policy of international trade and diplomacy. for which neutrality is most desirable Many consider the removal of Signor Alfieri and General Starace heralds a drift from the Rome-Berlin axis.
The German radio announced the Italian reshuffle, quoting Italian quarters to the effect that it docs not affect II Duces traditional policy. The Paris correspondent of the British United Press states that Mediterranean shares boomed on the Stock Exchange as a result of the news of the changes in the Italian Cabinet. Sue/. Canal shares rose to 450, and Riotinto to 1)2. Others averaged 40 points.
