The Sydney share market to-day was notable for a revival of interest in tin shares, but several industrial leaders failed to hold late rates. Sales included: Bank of New South Wales, C 27 Is: G. J. OX BEEF EASIER FRANKTON STOCK SALE A large entry of both ox and cow beef was penned at the Frankton stock sale, with values for the former a good deal easier. Quotations were from 20 to 30s a head lower than last week's rates. Good quality cow and heifer beef remained at late rates. There was an exceptionally large yarding of sheep, including a heavy entry of ewe and wether mutton, for which the demand was slightly weaker, prices declining. A large yarding of store wethers also came forward. These met good competition, realising improved prices.
WALROA STORE SHEEP OFFERING IN HASTINGS At the Stortford Lodge stock sale yesterday, a Wairoa line of store sheep, sent by rail, was sold at 20s Od. They were well-woolled ewe hoggets, nicely framed and in fresh condition, representing a useful brewing proposition. NORTHERN OILFIELDS Northern Oilfields, Limited, lias issued the following reporl for the !0 d:iy< ended October 31: Oi! !ndi--atiens and gas pressure steadily inreascd to depth of 1072 ft. Pressure if gas was forcing material from bcow into bottom of well and as it was making boring difficult aud slow it ,vas decided to change to the rotary system of drilling to increase drilling rate. This change-over has now been completed. Results from bo.e would ippear to indicate that drill is approaching oil-bearing stratum
