WORLD CHRISTIANITY MACKENZIE KING’S VIEW (Reed. Oct. 30, 9 a.m.) OTTAWA. Oct. 27. Tile Canadian Prime Minister, Mr. W. L. Mackenzie King, in a broadcast on the war, said it was a crusade to save Christian civilisation. “Those enlisting are first and foremost defenders of the faith,” he declared. “The Nazi (doctrines are the antithesis of the Christian gospel. “I am compelled lo believe that only by the destruction of Nazism can Britain continue and the liberty of the world be spared a new and terrible age of barbarism.”
