EAST COAST CATTLE WAIKATO MARKETS Waikato farmers have now no need to worry regarding feed conditions as everywhere throughout the district the grass is growing apace and the whole countryside is assuming a springlike appearance. Already hay paddocks have been shut up and there is every indication that heavy crops will be harvested this season.

Conditions in the stock market have not altered greatly during the week. Store cattle are still keenly sought, and no doubt the improved price has had the effect of driving out larger numbers than anticipated. So far this spring graziers have shown a keen desire to purchase grown cattle. Young cattle of either sex are not much in demand, but any males or females suitable to go into the fattening paddock never fail to realise satisfactory prices.

Further consignments ex the East Coast are heading towards Waikato, and there is every reason to believe adequate supplies will be available to meet all spring requirements.
