WHOLESALE ARRESTS

MORAVIA TERRORISED

NAZI POLICE METHODS

(F.lpc. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. Oct. 28, 9 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 20.

The Budapest correspondent o£ The Times states that, political arrests in Moravia number 70 daily, largely due to the denunciation system adopted by the Gestapo (Nazi Secret Police) by which Czechs of German origin are working off grudges of the Republican days.

The Gestapo makes levies on the families for the support of those arrested, who include many prominent persons. M. Closac, the former Minister of War, died in prison as a result of exposure and his treatment by the guards.
