MR. NASH’S ENDORSEMENT

(Por Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day,

Appreciation of the statement made by the Primate, the Most Rev. A. W. Averill, to the Auckland Council of Christian Congregations about freedom and the totalitarian State, was expressed by the Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Nash, to-day.

He said there was nothing more important inside democratic life than freedom of the individual.

“Any organisation that may be associated with material things should have for its purpose an extension of freedom in all things other than material,” he said.
