SENTENCES IN FRANCE
SECRETS SOLD TO NAZIS (Reed. Oct. 27, 2.40 p.m.) PARIS, Oct. 26. Dr. Phillippe Rose, the notorious pro-Nazi autonomist municipal councillor of Strasbourg, has been sentenced to death for betraying military secrets to Germany. A 20-year-old student was similarly sentenced. Three other members of the spy ring were given five years’ hard labour.
