TRAIN TO WELLINGTON SUGGESTION JN WAIROA (tijiudul to llio .Herald.) WAIROA, this du.v. A proposal that a special excursion train ,to carry Wairoa school choklrcn to the Centennial Exhibition at Rongotai, Wellington, should be run early in the new year is being sponsored by the Wairoa Parents' League, which, at its recent meeting, set up a subcommittee to seek the co-operation of other local bodies. It is suggested that the train should run in February next. The proposal was advanced at the meeting by Mr. A. Lawton, who said that the trip ,could be worked on a family ticket basis. The full co-opera-tlion of the people of the district would ensure the success of the project.. Mr. Lawton suggested that the train itself could be used for sleeping'quarters in Wellington. The sub-committee was set up as follows:-—Messrs. Lawton. C. W. Tomlinson, C. M. Pilkington, H. C, Jamieson and Fish.
