BRITISH PURCHASE COMPLETION OF DEAL LAST SEASON’S BASIS SOME PRICES BETTER (Per Pros* Association.) / WELLINGTON, this day. Finality lias been reached in the negotiations by the Government for the sale of New Zealand meat to the United Kingdom Government.

This was announced 10-day by the Minister of Marketing, the Hon. W. Nash, who added that he would be in a position this evening to explain fully the arrangement in a broadcast statement as everything of importance had been decided. There wore only one or two minor matters to be cleared up, such as the weights of certain animals.

When he was asked to indicate the nature,of the prices obtained or how they compare with those realised last season, he replied: “In the main they are based on last season’s prices, which were reasonably good, and in some cases they are even better.”
