204 ABOVE RECORD
A. AND P. SHOW ENTRY TOTAL REACHES 3465 LARGE INDUSTRY LIST The final count of the entries for the Poverty Bay A. and P. Show, which is to be held on November 7 and 8, reveals that the total is 3465, or 204 above the 1034 record. A feature of this year’s entries is a big increase in the home industries section, which for the first time in the history of the association has attracted more than 1000 entries, or nearly 400 more than last year. Also, there lias never been such a heavy entry of sheep as the total being prepared for the Show at present, the number reaching 542, more than 100 above last year’s total of 431, which was a record for that section. Substantial increases also have been registered in the horse, poultry, produce and competitions sections compared with last year. The number of cattle entered is fewer, and there are also small reductions in the fleece and pigs, with a substantial decline in dogs. The following is a summary of the entries in the various sections, together with the totals for the previous record year of 1934 and also those of last year:—
