2/8 AND 2/9 A GALLON TYRES ALSO UP Gisborne petrol prices were raised by Id per gallon this morning, in accordance witn the decision of the oil companies for a Dominion-wide increase.

Prices in Gisborne arc now 2s 8d and 2s 9d per gallon, compared with 2s 3d and 2s id before the additional 4d tax was .imposed shortly before the commencement of the war.

In addition to the rise in petrol, an increase in the tyre price-list occurred a few days ago, all rates . being ’.nisert by 10 per cent.
