MINE STRIKE POSSIBLE
DISPUTE IN WALES (Reed. Oct. 25, 9 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 23. A general strike in the north Wales coalfields is said to be probable on Saturday next, when the workers’ notices expire, because the conference at Wrexham to-night broke up with a complete deadlock. The men seek the adjustment and grievances and higher wages. The owners made an unacceptable offer last month and are not prepared to make further concessions.
