LABOUR DAY FIXTURE (Special to tins Herald.) WAIROA, this day. Following Die unpleasant weather which somewoat marred the opening of the season on Saturday, the weather was more kind to Wairoa bowlers on Labour Day and a very enjoyable progressive pairs .ournr.ment was played. Fourteen pairs took part in the competition. In the morning play R. Stewart and W. Crarer were equal in the skips’ competition, and the leads’ competition was won by A. J. Young. In the afternoon play, J- Ainsworth was the leading skip and L. W. Ebbitt was the winning lead.
