‘'Tl>e pukeko is adcelcraiing the wiping out of duck," was the view expressed by a speaker at a deputation to the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. W. E. Parry, at
Tokaanu. "Back of here," the speaker said, “the pukeko are to be seen in their hundreds. I strongly suggest that to save Hie grey duck an open .season be declared foe the pukeko."
