ROUND MT. EGMONT
ROAD CYCLING TITLE P. BICKNELL’S SUCCESS (Per Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, this day. The Taranaki circular road race, with which were decided the national 100 miles senior' and junior professional cycling championships, was held over a course from New Plymouth round Mount Egmon't and back to New Plymouth on Saturday. The championship was won by P. Bicknell, Auckland, who finished fifth off scratch in the time of 4hr. 36min. 22 l-ssec. F. Candy, Inglewood, had Lhe second fastest time, and F. Candy, Inglewood, won the junior title. The placings were:— J. Foote, Midhirst <lsmin.) .. 1 L. McKain, New Plymouth (15min.) 2 D. Banis, Hawera (30min.) .. 3 W. Kingsford, Waihi (18min.) .. 4
