NORTHERN OILFIELDS
RUAWAI BORE REPORT The directors of Northern Oilfields, Limited, report that the following information has been received from the driller in charge of operations. Mr. \ T . I. W. Brown, at the company’s No. 2 bore at Ruawai: —The bore bad reached a depth of 1048 ft. to last Saturday. At present it is in hard green shale and petroliferous gas and traces of petroleum are still issuing from the bore.
A -mid-week report received from the company's resident director at Ruawai, Mr. W. A. Carter, stated that the bore was in consolidated green shale at 1070 ft. Balings were showing the most oil yet. Inflammable petroliferous gas was increasing. Prospects were good and were still increasing.

Cabled advice has been received that Australian Consolidated Industries have decided to declare a dividend of 41 per cent on preference shares and an interim dividend of 31 per cent on fully paid ordinary shares for the half year ended September 30.
