AIR RAIDS IN CHINA

BOMBING BY JAPANESE CENTRAL AND SOUTH (Reed. Oct. 18, 9 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. .18. A message from Shanghai says it is officially stated that Japanese naval planes carried out a series of successful raids on Chinese positions in central and south China. One plane was destroyed and two damaged at the Lingliang aerodrome. The munitions dump exploded and the aerodrome runways were destroyed at Keechow. Twenty rail cars were destroyed at Hangchwan ana Lingchwan and a number of locomotives and goods trains were destroyed. Fuel tanks and warehouses were burned near Ishain.
