CAR’S 300 FT. PLUNGE

Frank Guj-kert Duke, of Petone, employed in the railway workshops, escaped with slight injuries when his car plunged 300 ft. from the road on V/ainui .Hill. Apparently he was thrown cut of the car, a small open sports model, before it went over and was discovered by a passing motorist. Last night the police spent many hours in the scrub looking in case there were others, and it was not till Mr. Duke regained consciousness in hospital and was able to say he was alone that the search was abandoned.
