WARREN BILLINGS CASE PERJURY ALEGATION (Reed. Oct. 18, 9 a.m.) SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 17. Warren Billings, convicted as an accomplice of Tom Mooney on the occasion of Preparedness Day bombing, will be freed immediately, his sen- | tence being commuted to the time j served. The Governor is contemplating a pardon similar to Mooney’s. He is convinced that Billings is innocent and that he was convicted on perjured testimony, similar to Mooney, and also the suppression of evidence. A majority of the State Supreme Court approved the commutation.
