NEW POTATOES FIRM Excellent weather has brought the new potato crops at Pukekohe ahead rapidly during the past week. The present price is 34s a cwt., f.o.r. Pukekohe, at which figure the market appears to be fairly firm. Cauliflowers are coming forward in somewhat shorter supply than they were a week ago. and the price has hardened in the period from Gs a chapman bag' to 7s 2d, and from 8s fid a sack to 10s 6d. Drumhead cabbages remain at 5s a chapman bag, and 7s 2d a sack, and Enfield spring cabbages are now available. and are selling at 0s a chapmanbag and 8s fid a sack. Carrots are still at 11s Gd a sugar bag, and swede turnips at 4s 6d, with supplies of carrots rather limited.
