ALLIED PLANES DOWN
CLAIMS IN BERLIN (Reed. Oct. 17, noon.) BERLIN, Oct. 16. The German High Command announced the shooting down of a British bombing plane south-east of Gross Gerau, between Dermstadt and Frankfort, killing one and taking prisoner three occupants, and also the shooting clown of a French scouting plane at Germersheim, near Landau, killing one and taking prisoners two occupants.
