LOSS OF LOCHAVON
PLANE PARTS IN CARGO
SHIPMENT OF FRUITS (Reed. Oct. 17, 9 a.m.) NEW YORK, Oct. 15. A report from San Pedro, California states that the Royal Mai! liner Lochavon, which was sunk in the Atlantic, carried 25 or 30 cases of aircraft parts and 4000 tons of canned and fresh fruits. Sixty-two members of the crew and six passengers who landed in England during the week-end had drifted for eight hours in the boats.
