Wainui, southern ports, October 30. ; COASTAL TRADE The Wainui completed the discharge of her southern cargo here yesterday and sailed at 8.10 p.m. for Napier, thence Wellington and Bluff. The ship is to commence loading for Gisborne and Napier at Bluff on Tiles- | day, and is to call at Dunedin on j Wednesday, Oamaru and Timaru on j Thursday, and Lyttelton on Friday,: thence Wellington. The Wainui ar- i rives back at Gisborne about October j 30 The Kiwitea has been allotted to j load coal at Westport about Friday next, completing at Greymouth for | Napier and Gisborne. The vessel is j due here towards the end of the i month. The Pakura leaves Auckland to- j night for Coast bays, Gisborne and j Napier, working this port on Thurs- j clay. The Kopara loads at Portland on | Thursday and at Auckland next Tuesday for the Coast, Gisborne and Napier. The Pukeko is at present at Wellington. On completion of loading there to-morrow she proceeds to Lyttelton and completes here on Thursday for Napier, Waikokopu, Gisborne I and the Coast, The Margaret W. clears Auckland to-night for Tokomaru Bay, Tolaga Bay and Gisborne, PORT BOWEN SALVAGE GEAR ! The New Zealand representatives; of! the Port Line are still awaiting advice j from the head office in London as to whether the stranded Port Bowen is to be abandoned. In the meantime all the salvage gear is being brought ashore from the steamer in lorries at low tide. The piles of the unloading ramp have been sold and will be drawn from the sand this week. The Port Bowen became stranded off Castlecliff at midnight on July 19. when inward bound to Wanganui j roadstead from Picton.
