FURY IN BERLIN
BRITISH ATTITUDE ABUSE OF LEADER (Reed. Oct. 14, 1.40 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 13. Messages from Berlin state that the High Nam official who earlier today was reported to have addressed neutral journalists was apparently Dr. Dietrich, the Nazi press chief. He said that Mr. Neville Chamberlain's statement in reply to Herr Hitler was the “silliest ever made.” An official German press statement calls Mr. Chamberlain a liar and alleges that the British Empire was buiTt'up “solely on force and lies.”
