WORK AT PARK MENDELSSOHN SPRINTS SMART HALF-MILE LOVELILT JUMPS WELL By “Trenton" A smart sprint by Mendelssohn over hall' a mile and a dashing display by Lovelilt over country were features of the work at the Park this morning. The track was in good condition and fast times were the order.

Taharakau, who appears to be in good order to tackle the Endeavour Scurry, sprinted three furlings In 3G 3-ssee.

Millions was going well at the end of five furlongs in 1.4 4-5 in company with Plenteous. They went off from a standing start.

Tho Hunting Song—Puketawa filly, which will race as Hunting Dawn took 52sec. for half a mile.

Pennycomequick and Raana were almost on terms at the end of seven furlongs in 1.33.

Cymetic hit out well over three furlongs in 37see.

Rough Passage took 50see. to run half a mile.

Bold Step was too good for Reay Bridge over five furlongs in 1-2, the. first half mile talcing 49sce.

Kinariki was well beaten by Mendelssohn over four furlongs in 49 2-nsec.

Over the same distance Minnow went evenly to record f»osec. Kincarolo was going easily along side Kin tyre over half a mile In 49 4-ssee. They were easing up at tho end after cutting out the first two furlongs in the smart time of 24 2-ssec.

Seven Seas lias arrived from Of>otiki and was given pace work on the plough.

Whetu jumped at Makaraka yesterday and cleared two hurdles at the Park in good style this morning. He has completely recovered from his injured leg.

Royal Stuart cleared two brush fences.

Lovelilt (CaTcler) gave a great exhibition of clean, fast jumping over a round of the steeplechase course.

Whakao jumped two hurdles and rapped both. Okawa did three rounds of pace work on the plough.
