Oct. 14, 9 a.m.) • LONDON, Oct. l'.v A message from Zurich states that the Arbeiter .Zeitung, which was reported yesterday to have published statistics revealing the actual German losses in Poland is a Socialist paper of minor Importance. The ' Swiss Legation considers that its reports should be treated with reserve. A message despatched from Zurich on Thursday stated: “The Arbeiter Zeitung publishes confidential statistics drawn up by the German War Ministry, which reveal that the actual German losses in Poland were 91,278 killed, 03,417 seriously wounded, and 84,938 slightly wounded. The newspaper ddds that 190 German tanks w'ere destroyed and 361 damaged, while the aeroplane losses were 89 fighters, 261 light bombers, 107 heavy bombers, and nine observation machines.”
