5 PER CENT. INCREASE

SHIPPING FREIGHTS DOMINION COAST (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. It is announced that from yesterday, Thursday, the New Zealand coastal freight rates have been increased by 5 per cent. Recently freight rates to Australia and the Pacific Islands were increased by 10 per cent, and those to the Pacific coast ports of Canada and the United States of America by 20 per cent.
