WORK AT PARK

AN OFF MORNING QUEEN'S DREAM JUMPS By “Trenton” Considering that the Turf Club races are only a week off, the Park course was quiet this morning, but it is possible that Saturday will see a lot of fast work. The Hunting Song-Puketawa filly was first out and reeled off three furlongs in 36 4-ssec. Plenteous and Millions took lmin. 18sec. for six furlongs, the last three in 39sec. Bold Step was going easily alongside Reay Bridge at the conclusion of five furlongs in lmin. ssec. The former could have clone better. Lovelilt was going better than Kahuroa over six furlongs in lmin. 19sec. Rough Passage took 51 2-ssec. for half-a-mile from a flying start. Mimicry took lmin. 47sec. for a mile, which was a good effort as the Mimetic gelding was not hurried in the early stages. 'Pennycomequick, Raana, Whakao, Minnow, Okawa and Waikawa were given pace work. Yesterday morning Queen’s Dream and Small Boy were schooled over a round of the hurdles and gave a splendid exhibition, especially the former, who is in really good order.
