COASTAL TRADE The Kopara leaves Auckland tonight for Coast bays, Gisborne and Napier, and is to work this port! on Friday. The Pakura left Wellington last night for Napier and Gisborne. The ship has general cargo from Lyttelton as well as from Wellington, and ijs to discharge here on Friday, departing thence for Auckland. Next weeklthe , Pakura will make a trip in the Auck-land-East Coast service. The Pukelco resumes this week in the southern trade on the completion of her annual overhaul at Wellington. The ship is to load at Wellington! on Friday and Saturday for Napier and Gisborne. i- ‘ The Margaret W. cleared Auckland at 5.15 p.m. yesterday for Tokomaru Bay, Tolaga Bay and Gisborne. [The vessel arrives here to-morrow morning and it is hoped to dispatch iher that evening for Auckland. The Altair’s departure from Auckland was postponed until Monday!. The Wainui left Timaru yesterday for Lyttelton and after working there to-day proceeds to Wellington to ebrriplete loading for Gisborne and Napier. The Wainui is due at Gisborne 1 on . Monday. SALE OF FREIGHTERS The sale of 14 privately-owned American freighters to Brazil j for £500,000 sterling has 'been approved by the United States Government. NO MOVEMENT IN PORT BOWEN The stranded Port Line steamer Lort Bowen showed no movement at) the Castleclilf beach last week-end. At low tide motor-lorries went out to the side of the steamer, where |hey loaded some of the heavy salvage gear for which there was no further use. ,
