SEASON CLOSED TROPHIES PRESENTED (Herald Correspondent.) The 1939 golf season in Tokomaru Bay was officially closed at the weekend. when members took part in a mixed foursome, which was won by Mrs. Short and E. C. Grant. . Afternoon tea was served by the ladies, after which the president, Mr. J. Todd, briefly outlined the activities of the club during the season. Trophies won were presented as follows: Ladies.—A Grade Championship: Miss E. Hale, miniature cup presented by Mrs. J. S. Nugent. B Grade Championship: Miss Mills, miniature presented by men’s club. Handicap Cup: Mrs. Forrester, miniature presented by men’s club. Thirty-six-hole eclectic, Mrs. Horton’s trophy: Miss D. Conole. Medal Round, Mrs. Todd’s trophy: Miss M. Busby. Bogey match, Mrs. Short’s trophy: Mrs. Riddell. Novelty match, Miss Mitchell’s trophy: Mrs. N. Oates. Captain’s trophy: Mrs. N. Oates. Oneclub match, Mrs. Grant's trophy: Miss B. Eivers. Medal match. Miss Hale’s trophy: Miss E. Hale. Stableford, Mrs. Riddell’s trophy: Mrs. Riddell. Flag match, Mrs. Gardner's trophy: Mrs. Horton. Members’ trophy: Mrs. Horton. Mrs. Chaplin’s trophy, for greatest reduction in handicap: Mrs. Forrester. Members’ trophy, 36-hole medal: Mrs. Riddell. Bogey match, Miss Eiver’s trophy: Mrs. Forrester. Continuous eclectic, Miss Conole's trophy: Mrs. Gardner. Flag match, Miss Mills’ trophy: Mrs. Forrester. One-club match, Mrs. Ncvin’s trophy: Mrs. Todd. Gardner after a play-off, with <W. Horton.
