! An announcement of special interest | to sheepfarmers concerning the wool commandeer has been issued by the Gisborne Wool Brokers’ Association. It has been the practice in the past to brand both ends of each bale of wool, but instructions have been issued than only one end and one side may be used for the individual marks. The other end and sides must be left clear for marking under the commandeer regulations. Rototahi station is one of the stations in this district that has commenced shearing 'operations already and it is reported that further additional sheds will be operating within the next few days,
